The interview originated after a Korea Textile News reporter encountered SEOHO LAB’s products and brand philosophy during the company’s participation in the 2026 Seoul Indie Beauty Show. The reporter independently contacted the company, leading to the interview without any paid advertising or promotional arrangement. As purely editorial coverage initiated by the media itself, the feature holds particular significance for SEOHO LAB, demonstrating that the company attracted industry attention solely through its product quality and philosophy.

 

Through the interview, CEO Sohee Lee explained the background behind the company’s focus on small-batch production starting from as few as 100 units. She pointed out the structural challenges faced by early-stage beauty entrepreneurs, who are often burdened with excessive inventory and financial risk due to the high minimum order quantities (MOQs) required by large manufacturers. SEOHO LAB addresses this gap by providing a flexible production environment that enables emerging businesses to test products and validate market demand without excessive 부담.

 

In terms of technological innovation, the interview introduced SEOHO LAB’s proprietary technology that liposomizes beta-sitosterol — an ingredient that does not dissolve easily in water — allowing it to be directly applied to water-based formulations. Beta-sitosterol is gaining attention as a vegan ingredient associated with strengthening the skin barrier and is used as a key ingredient in the company’s own skincare brand, Skin On You.

In addition, SEOHO LAB operates several proprietary brands built upon its independent R&D capabilities, including the high-concentration ingredient brand SINGREDIENT and the hair clinic brand RIAHCL.

 

Regarding its global strategy, the company shared visible achievements already underway, including obtaining China NMPA certification, preparing for entry into Shopee platforms in Singapore and Indonesia, and receiving direct inquiries from overseas buyers in Puerto Rico, Kazakhstan, Iraq, and other regions. SEOHO LAB also expressed strong ambitions for expanding its proprietary brands into international markets.
